This was the 59th FISEC games and was a great opportunity to bring people together from different countries and to make new friends.
There were six boys and six girls in the GB Swimming Team. I was really pleased to be selected as the girls team captain.
I won a total of seven gold medals with four short course records
50 fc : 26.73 NEW
RECORD previous record 27.93
100 fc: 58.30 NEW RECORD previous record 59.35
200 fc: 2.07.68 NEW RECORD previous record 2.08.40
100 fly: 1.05.60
4x100 Freestyle Relay: Gold & New Record
Medley relay: Gold
The GB Girls also won gold over all for the most points
(The maximum events an individual can swim is four)
I am still the record holder of last years Long course 50 freestyle
as that was held in a 50m pool. So I am now the holder on 3 individual
short course records, 1 x team record and 1 x long course record from
last year. In total I hold 4 individual records and 1 relay record.
At the closing ceremony it was announced that next years games ( 60th
)will to be held in Malta. I hope I will be able to attend.
