Phoenix Youth Gala at Wolverhampton 25m pool

Seven swimmers attended Phoenix's 6th annual open meet at Wolverhampton, Hannah Gladwin, Abbie Lloyd, Natalie Jones, Sallyanne Sylvester, Jack Neale, Matthew Holroyd, Jon Brachmanski and Adam Sylvester.
Out of the girls, Hannah performed well in her first open meet; She competed in the 50 fly, 50 Breast, 200 free, and 50 back.
Abbie's performance gave her 8 pb's, 2 first place trophies for 50m & 100m fly and medals for 200m IM, 100m back, 100m free, 200m free and 100m back. She also competed in 50m breast, and earned 3rd place for 11 year old girls.
Natalie won medals in 50m fly, 100m back, 50m back and came 3rd in 100m breast.
Sallyanne competed in 50m breast, 100m free (pb) and 50m free, she won medals in 50m back and 200m IM.

The Boy's also did well, Matthew came back with 7 medals for his performance in 200m free, 50m back, 100m back, 50 free, 200m IM, 100m back and 100m free, he also ended the competition 4th place for 10 year boys.
Jack gave a good performance in 200m free just missing out on a medal, but earning him a pb. He also competed in 50m back and 50m free.
Jon got a medal for 100m fly, a pb for 50m free and competed in 50m back.
New comer to Chase, Adam had an excellent meet, with 1st places for his 200m free, 100m back and 50m back. A 2nd place for 100m free. 3rd for 50m free, and medals for 50m breast, 50m fly, 200m IM and 100 breast. Adam also came 3rd for 12 year old boys
Thanks must also be given to team coach Debbie for her support to the swimmers throughout the day.
